May was another busy month. I made a deal with Rufus back in the middle of 2007 that if I was pregnant during the summer, he was buying me a pool. I have spent all 6 years of our marriage, begging and pleading for a pool. I finally found my in. The only problem is that Rufus is very particular. The spot that he wanted the pool had a tree growing out of where the stairs would be. There were 6 trees that were plante withing 5 feet of the house, one on top of the water line and one over the septic tank line.
Rufus, his dad, and brother put in numerous hours of work. The trees had to be cut down, the stumps ground and the roots pulled up. Only then could the pool be assembled. The pool did get put up and it has been a blessing (as my mom would say).
By the end of the month we were on our way to see Rufus' extended family for a baby shower. It was mostly a family gathering with presents. It was good to see them all for one last time before the baby.
