Memorial Day Weekend

Well we didn't think it would be warm enough to swim Memorial Day weekend, but man were we WRONG! It was real stinking hot here. Granny and Pop came down from Virginia and we figured it would be a great time to get the boat out. It hasn't been out since before I got pregnant. I know we shouldn't neglect our boat like that.

At first Rufus didn't want to ride because all he wanted to do was swim, but we got him good. We let him drive the boat. He has been fake driving all the cars, so why not real drive the boat. That made him happy for a while.

Then of course he wanted to go swimming again. Here he is trying to touch the water from the stern of the boat. His arms aren't near long enough. The arm is granny trying to hold him in.

Well we decided to pull up on a sand bar, hang out and enjoy the water. And what makes you hungry? Swimming! Plus the boy is always hungry, so we had some lunch. This was way to cute not to snap a picture.

After eating we decided to ride around. And just like his Mommy with a full belly falls asleep in the car, Rufus fell asleep in the boat. Originally he was on me for a while, then Granny took over. He would wake up anytime we hit a big wave and then go back to sleep. My little angel.
