Snow Weekend
It started snowing Friday at about 4 in the afternoon in Florence. We tried to get outside for a little snow play, just in case the snow did last until Little Rufus woke up Saturday. As you can see the flakes were very big. I told Rufus the Hillbilly force must be strong in this boy because Florence never gets snow 2 years in a row until he was born.
Little Rufus had a blast playing outside but Daddy didn't prepare properly got cold and made us all go inside.
We got between 3 and 4 inches of snow. Not anywhere near what the rest of our family has gotten this winter but a lot for us.
When we first got outside everyone was having fun. Look at the snow flying off Layla's feet as she runs around the boys.
We played in the back yard, flat lander sledding. No hills so we have to make our own motion.
We played a little snowsketball (snow basketball). Little Rufus is learning to throw a ball so this is good practice.
Everything was going good until Little Rufus fell down (which he does often) and got a face full of snow. He didn't want to be outside any more.
Which was great with Layla she spent a little bit playing in the snow and spent the rest of the time outside sitting in the garage waiting for us to let her back in the house.
Some last minute family shots before we run inside to warm up.

What day in the snow would be complete without a cup of Hot Cocoa when you come inside to warm up. So that is exactly what we did, except that Little Rufus' was more like luke warm iced Hot Cocoa, but he loved it. Drank the first cup without even breathing.
We decided on grilled cheese and tomato soup for lunch to keep warming up. Little Rufus liked the soup when I spooned it into his mouth but hated the idea of sucking it through the straw. So we compromised.
And he absolutely loved it. I think he drank as much soup as Rufus and I did.
