A Day in Columbia

We spent Sunday in Columbia. We started with a little breakfast. Little man has gotten so good at chewing I don't have to cut up his bananas. Here he is holding his whole banana. He is so proud.
Then we drove to Columbia and did brunch (that is right he ate breakfast and then brunch) with our friends Travis and Leigh who fly in from Ireland and Michael, Kelly, and Karen, who live in Columbia. Michael even let Rufus wear his hat.

Then we went to the zoo for an hour. We knew he wouldn't last long but he did real good at brunch so we treated him to the zoo. His favorite this time was the aquarium section. He loved to watch the big fish swim. Here he is with Daddy looking at the giraffes. The zoo is doing a feed the giraffes event, but by the time we got there all the giraffes must have been full because there were tons of people standing holding lettuce and the giraffes were not close at all.

I don't think I have ever seen a giraffe sitting down. It looked funny so I took a pic.

The brown bear lounged up against a rock to eat his branch with leaves. Rufus kept screaming like he wanted to pet the bear, but he couldn't.

Too cute of a picture not to take. The koala bear was asleep outside.

When we got home we tried to eat with our spoon out of a bowl. We used a bowl that suctions to the table but of course Rufus was smart enough to figure out how to pull it up. Oh just a side note he was also eating stuffing which has become his favorite food. If you get in the way of his stuffing he may bite you. He will definitely scream if there is more and he is out.
